Try Out Information
Welcome to the 2013/2014 Tyke season. Tryouts are never an easy process for the player, parents or coaches, but knowing the expectations of the try outs will be helpful for everyone. We plan to break the tryouts into 2 sections skill evaluations and scrimmages. The first tryout will review various skating skills, puck handling, passing and shooting. The second tryout will includes a set of timed drills. The last two try-out will test the players in game situations and scrimmages. Expect the player to be put at all skating positions as we need to understand if the players can play in all situations. Lastly any players that would like to try out as goalies should contact the coaching staff prior to try-outs so goalie equipment can be arranged, please send a request to [email protected].
